On Thursday 30th November 2023 SiD won the “Protecting and Improving our Environment” award at the Hinckley and Bosworth “Making a Difference ” celebration held at Hinckley Rugby Club, The award was presented by Scott Gibbens, the Mayor of Hinckley and Bosworth to Sue and Jim Houghton.
This award is in recognition of the efforts over the past 10 years at SiD to improve insulation, add LED lighting and floodlighting, solar panels and batteries to drastically reduce our dependence on grid electricity.
