Councils

Throughout SiD’s development, we have been hugely indebted to the support of all our local councils:

Desford Parish Council (DPC), particularly for allocating a substantial precept in the early years and on an ongoing basis for covering our considerable insurance costs and for occasional specific grants.

Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council (HBBC), particularly for the support of their Recreation and Well being Officer, Graeme Chilvers, and for the Parish and Community Initiative Fund (PCIF) grants allocated in more recent years.

Leicestershire County Council (LCC), particularly for allocating a number of Shire grants and especially those from the Community Climate Change Fund
